2009 Golden Eagle Golf Tournament
The 30th annual Golden Eagle Golf Tournament, held on Monday April 20, 2009 at the Via Verde Country Club in San Dimas, turned out to be an overwhelming success. A field of more than 120 participants enjoyed golf played on a sunny and warm day at Via Verde in the tournament that raises money for student-athlete scholarships at Cal State L.A.
The group of Ralph Dawson, Alan Tonkins and Pat Allen won top honors and the mixed group category, the team of Dan Bridges, Kay Ginsberg, Jennifer Bridges and Kim Aggabao won top honors.
The tournament players also participated in the Jet Blue Challenge, which enabled the four players with the closest tee shots on No. 9 to qualify for a chance to win $50,000 for a hole-in-one.
Major tournament sponsors included Ace Beverage, Pepsi and Cal State L.A.’s University Bookstore.
